Introduction

The North Face never stops exploring. So, when they tasked us with creating a mobile marketing tour to boost awareness for ThermoBall, neither did we.

Fourteen states and three-months later, we’d brought the adventure to thousands of people with a customized airstream.

At each stop, guests had the opportunity to create their own pseudo-adventure to share on social media, thanks to a customizable photo opp that superimposed their image into bucket-list locations around the world.

All the while, there were lots of ways to experience the North Face brand and its ThermoBall line, from products to decor, music and more.

What We Did

The Ultimate Jacket Takes An Ultimate Road Trip

Pack your bags for an epic road trip. With NRG at the wheel, you know it’s going to be good.

NRG produced this mobile marketing tour to boost awareness of the Thermoball product and bring a taste of adventure to The North Face retail stores and college campuses. Because no road trip is complete without a sweet ride, we created a fully branded Dodge Ram and 28-foot airstream, specially designed and fabricated for The North Face and customized with a “Never Stop Exploring” logo and geometric design.

At each stop on the journey, guests were greeted by a Welcome Desk containing American rock climber Conrad Anker’s Mount Everest backpack and other curiosity pieces. Inside the trailer, the immersive experience continued, with large lightbox signs featuring the tour’s hashtags, the TNF music station playing, TNF coffee table books and products on display, cozy ThermoBall Throw pillows and complimentary coffee and Clif Bars. To amplify the experience socially, we set-up a 10×10 branded tent with a green screen photo op displaying guests in adventurous locales around the world. Guests were invited to get in the zone, with a nearby merchandising rack that held ThermoBall products for trial. It was a crowd stopping event with an impact that delivered a lot of mileage.
