You don’t have to play in the league to feel like you’re in the game. At least that’s the experience when playing NBA 2K23. To celebrate the launch of the latest installment in the popular franchise, we aimed for nothing less.
Over the course of multiple days, players, creators and fans convened in Las Vegas for an epic event. With exclusive access to play NBA 2K23 before anyone else and an enviable VIP list that read like a who’s-who of basketball and hip hop, you might have thought this rooftop event at the Delano Vegas was a mirage; but the greatness was real.
What We Did
Create an engaging and exclusive destination around NBA Summer League
The NBA 2K23 announcement carries plenty of momentum on its own, but when we’re tasked with amplifying the energy with our tireless event marketing and production, there is no limit. The biggest VIPs, photo ops, and buzz: we brought it all.
For this multi-day popup activation, we created a destination that was the epicenter of NBA 2K23 and the Summer League excitement. To share it all with fans live, we ensured content creators had everything needed to relay the experience in real-time.
We incorporated content creation stations for press and influencers to conduct interviews and podcast recordings onsite and provided immersive photo opportunities at every turn to create envy-inducing shots, like a 180-degree photo booth with the backdrop in cover art and a 360-degree photo moment with the Las Vegas strip in the background.
And of course, let’s not forget early access to play the game and everything needed to truly live the dream: from 2KGo Face-Scanning, to NBA 2K Swag and a Custom MyTEAM Card Station. As if that weren’t enough, we set up a 10 x 10 ft LED screen at the heart of the event to display custom content and in-game footage.
After all, they don’t call it the House of Greatness for nothing.
